Pea soup
Preparation time: 25 min
Peas are not only a rich source of vitamins and minerals, but also a treat for children and adults. The pods in our garden have been the first to be picked since we were little 🙂 But back to peas. Fresh peas have the most vitamins of course, but the frozen form is also very vitamin-rich. Sterilised peas, on the other hand, lose up to half of their vitamins through the sterilisation process.
Peas contain vitamins of group A, B (B1, B2, B3, B6), vitamin C, E, and K. It is rich in protein, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, iron, zinc and copper. Including peas in your diet will help lower cholesterol, support heart function, and strengthen hair, bones, muscles, and nerves.
